Hindu Traditions

Hinduism is a broad term which is used to describe a number of different belief systems throughout India and South Asia. Some academics argue that the word Hinduism is an artificial construct created by Western scholars and not really adequate to explain the diversity of religious ideas it is intended to encompass. Nonetheless, the Hindu Traditions are among the world’s oldest living traditions, and some have argued that a more apt description would be to call Hinduism Sanātana Dharma (The Eternal Law).
